Fulham and Birmingham ground out a hard-fought draw at St Andrews, with Sebastian Larsson stealing an equaliser for the hosts 13 minutes from time. The Cottagers had taken the lead over the recently relegated Blues through Wales midfielder Simon Davies after 17 minutes and narrowly failed to close out the win after a lacklustre second half display.
Bobby Zamora almost gave Fulham the lead with seconds on the clock but his dipping strike squirmed over the crossbar. John Pantsil was fortunate not to concede a penalty when he made a clumsy tackle just outside the box but that was soon forgotten when Davies took possession of a loose pass to charge 40 yards before slotting beyond Maik Taylor.
Roy Hodgson's side failed to capitalise on their advantage in the second period and after 77 minutes City had drawn level. Cameron Jerome was the creator, freeing Larsson down the right before the Swede cut inside and drilled the ball home.
